I drove up the mountain in a blizzard to save my bakery.
I ended up in a ditch at the deadliest curve on Switchback Road.
The man who pulled me out is huge, scarred, and barely speaks.
He hates Christmas. He hates noise. I'm pretty sure he hates me.
Now the pass is closed, the snow won't stop, and I'm stuck in his bare cabin with three hundred gingerbread cookies and nowhere to run.
But every time he looks at me, that cold glare burns a little hotter.
Every time I make him almost smile, I lose a little more of my heart.
He carries a grief he won't name. I'm about to lose everything I love.
And when the storm clears, the danger waiting in town is very real.
Can I thaw a man who swore off Christmas forever?
Or will he break my heart to keep me safe?
Steamy grumpy sunshine. Curvy baker heroine. Scarred protective biker. Snowed in at Christmas. Small-town found family. Guaranteed HEA.
