The NFPA joined with bestselling authors Susy Flory and Julie Cantrell to create this collection of stories all about fire safety. Kids in grades 2-5 can learn about a real life search-and-rescue dog named The Black Pearl, learn from the tragedy of the Our Lady of the Angels fire and even befriend a spunky kid named Jack whose quick wits help to save his family from a house fire. All stories are Common Core aligned and include related discussion questions, writing prompts and more.
